Though we have said you need not be a crossword buff to crack this event, you would still be better off learning the standard tricks of a cryptic clue. Most of the clues we list, will have part of the clue giving the technical meaning of the word, and the other part will help u crack the clue, without any knowledge of the technical meaning at all!
So even first year ECEians, who have just got into the department subjects and even non- ECEians, can get the grid filled in quick time by knowing some of the standard rules of cryptic crosswords.
